The LCHF diet has seen an abundance of research done on cholesterol; and more importantly on the apparent link between eggs and cholesterol. Part of debunking myths is what advancement is all about. Despite the egg shaking off its bad rep; we have another egg and cholesterol question on this episode of the LCHF Podcast. Dr Ann Childers speaks bluntly.

Transcript

Brad Brown: Welcome back to this edition of the LCHF podcast, got a question in from David today and we’ve got Dr Ann Childers with us and I know the doc is a huge fan of him. Doc, this question I think is right up your alley.

David says he’s BMI is 40, his body mass index, he was diagnosed with high cholesterol about three years ago and since then he’s been on prescription medication. He wants to know, how will the LCHF diet affect his cholesterol levels, especially since he’s eating eggs on a daily basis?

Ann Childers: Eating eggs on a daily basis should not cause trouble at all and it runs out that the liver is a source of cholesterol and that dietary cholesterol has very little contribution to cholesterol levels. I think he’s very safe in that regard.

BB: Brilliant stuff. David, thank you very much, we’ve got quite a bit of literature on the website around eggs as well. I’ll put a few links to those in the show notes for this episode as well. You can go and check those out. There’s more than enough to get you going and hopefully you can improve those cholesterol levels and get them to exactly where you want them to be. Dr Ann Childers, thank you very much for your time, I am Brad Brown, until next time, it’s cheers.
